The expressways in downtown Milwaukee are undergoing reconstruction. The expressways are all staying open during construction but there may be some delays due to lane shifts or lane closures. The State of Wisconsin has a website that gives construction details and updates: www.mchange.org

From the west on Interstate 94
Take the downtown spur Interstate 794. The Civic Center / James Lovell Avenue exit is the second exit to the left. Proceed north on James Lovell two blocks to Wisconsin Ave. Turn left onto Wisconsin Avenue. Proceed approximately seven blocks east on Wisconsin to Plankinton. The theater is on this corner.

From the south on Interstate 43/94
Follow Interstate 43 north after I-94 turns west (left). The Kilbourn Ave. / Civic Center exit is the first exit to the right. Proceed through the tunnel and turn right at the first street out of the tunnel (onto 6th Street). Take 6th Street south for two blocks and then turn left onto Wisconsin Avenue. Proceed approximately six blocks east on Wisconsin to Plankinton. The theater is on this corner.

From the north on Interstate 43
Take the McKinley Avenue exit east. Turn right onto 6th Street. Take 6th St. south 6 blocks and turn left onto Wisconsin Avenue. Take Wisconsin Ave. east 5 blocks to Plankinton Avenue. The theater is on this corner

Parking
The Riverside Theater sells discounted parking passes for the Milwaukee Center underground parking structure which is underneath the Pabst Theater. Entrances are on Kilbourn Avenue between the river and Water Street, and on Water Street between Kilbourn and Wells. Pay full price, or present the discounted parking pass as you leave. The discounted parking passes are available while buying tickets online, anytime by phone during our phone hours of 9 AM - 9 PM seven days a week, and in person when the the box office is open, including the night of the show after you park.

This parking structure is about a block and a half from the Riverside. To walk from the parking structure to the theater:
Exit the Milwaukee Center onto Wells Street. (You'll pass the Rep and the Pabst box offices.) Turn right onto Wells Street and go west. Turn left at Plankinton Avenue (the first street after you cross the river) and follow Plankinton south 1 block to the corner at Wisconsin Avenue. The Riverside is just to the left on the corner of Plankinton and Wisconsin.
